Tennessee collared ant (Aphaenogaster tennesseensis), from Thompson Park: (There were a couple of trees crawling with these little cuties, but it was still hard to get a good picture, even with the macro lens. They were too busy to pose for me! I do have several other photos of bright orange ant butts attached to a motion blur, though. :neocat_laugh_tears:) #ant #hymenoptera #insects #mosstodon
