i think generative ai and a lot of the arguments for it reduce programmers to a mere transformation of "resource + time" to "result", and sure, maybe it costs less to run a bunch of ai programming agents or whatever the fuck but i think if we head there, we are heading toward a hyper-capitalist world where the worth of a being is measured purely by production efficiency. do we REALLY want to be thinking of ourselves as cogs in a machine?
