๐Ÿช๐Ÿšซ It's time to kill the cookie banner โ€“ and end the endless tracking circus! โฎ๏ธ You may think that EU privacy law requires cookie banners. But the law is clear: online tracking is prohibited by default. ๐Ÿ‘‹โš–๏ธ Therefore, the tracking industry needs you to waive your rights. Thatโ€™s why they invented cookie banners, which often are deliberately misleading as well as annoying.

๐Ÿ’ก Luckily, EU lawmakers currently have a concrete solution on their table: ๐Ÿ“ก Automated signals that would communicate your privacy preferences between your device and websites or apps. You could then choose whether you want to accept, refuse, or limit tracking. This would mean no more repetitive pop ups, no more banners, and no more endless clicking. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Visit https://killthecookiebanner.eu/ to learn how YOU can help!

@noybeu@mastodon.social Try the consent-o-matic plugin. It's from a Danish univercity and you can preset it with your favorite settings so it automagically does (most of) the banners for you.
