@faithisleaping@anarres.family The timing of this is appropriate for me. Just this past Thursday i blocked my remaining family members on my phone because i finally realized that i was never going to get the kind of relationships with them that i need, and that healing from the way they hurt me growing up means i need them out of my life entirely. Mostly this is too little, too late - my parents are both dead, and they are the ones who did the most harm. But it's still a needed step for me. For too long i let myself exist under the spell of "i need to forgive them". i have finally learned better.
