I found my old Minecraft world, the really cool one with tons of players and loads of beautiful builds and redstone contraptions. Only reason I ever shut it down was because it got so big chunks kept getting corrupted and regenerating. And since the world was so old, chunks would regenerate with a completely new algo, meaning solid walls and random bits of ocean started appearing everywhere. Well, I thought maybe I could resurrect it after all these years, and fix the regenerated chunks in-game. Hopefully the size issue was no longer a problem. Nope, the gamefiles are so corrupted that the "upgrade" process to bring it up to the current MC version fails at 40%. I tried all the suggested fixes I could find and got nowhere. A friend of mine wants to take a crack at it. I hope he can get it working. It would be really cool to play on a world that was generated so long ago. To get most new content, you would have to travel pretty far in game. Plus, it has some of my hilarious redstone contraptions that I would like to see again. If you want to see some of the world, and listen to me get progressively drunker during the tour, you can check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJpKZp-507w The castle got much bigger after this was made, and I made the chickenizer even better! Max_Writer has a bunch of videos titled something along the lines of, "on nuintari's server." We had a boatload of players, and they built some amazing things. I miss playing with them so much.
