liverpool pride coincided with berlin pride this year.
i applied to marshal at liverpool pride this year following the Sahir House call out. they didn't even acknowledge my email. (wrong type of gay? no idea).
i haven't engaged with any of the video from the latest vehicle as weapon attack in berlin. so i can't comment on the precautions. i do note liverpool pride was float free and focused on pedestrian routes so they may have been ahead of the game or learned lessons from water street.
the water street VAW in liverpool where over 100 were injured show how easy it is to attack these events, also show exactly why i stayed at home.

ok, this makes sense. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Berlin_Pride_van_attack wikipedia is saying the attack took place off the site of the parade. this is to an extent reassuring that the attacker(s) couldn't get at the parade itself. please remember to travel with friends if possible and be aware of the risk of an attack before or after an event at a softer point. the finsbury park attack, the liverpool womens hospital bombing, and (i think) the southport stabbing are all examples of ultra-low sophistication attacks where the attacker has diverted to a softer target.
