Just so you know... The Origins of Ground News Who Founded It? Ground News was co-founded by a brother-and-sister team, Harleen Kaur and Sukh Singh.  **Harleen Kaur (CEO): She was formerly a space engineer at NASA before shifting her focus to news technology.  **Sukh Singh (CTO): He came from a software background and studied engineering at the University of Waterloo.  So while it wasn't founded exclusively by women, a woman leads the company as CEO and co-founder!  Where Was It Founded? It is indeed a local Ontario creation, tied closely to the Waterloo region right next door to Kitchener. The idea was developed through connections and startup programs rooted in the University of Waterloo, and the company continues to operate out of Ontario. A mere half hour drive from where I live!.... Oh CANADA!
