question for you linux heads: given linus being a turd and all that, is there a way to pretty much forbid my system (at the very least the parts of the linux base that we 100% know were touched by slop) from updating ever again? i don't have the time or energy to switch to freebsd right now and would love a momentary alternative

@ciatmusings@raru.re Determine if you are using APT (Ubuntu, Debian), DNF, YUM (RHEL, suse) and then research the required changes to the /etc/conf for a permanent config change. The help/manuals for the package managers will explain it to you, that is where you can implement your desired result.
