Effortpoast: If nothing else, please read the last line of the image. The second half of staff training today featured a speaker that was basically preaching the gospel of what I've been working toward as a human for the last ten years or so. It started with small noticings of how I could better another person's day by being intentional with communication. It has manifested into being an appreciator of the efforts I see others make. I am not great at this, in part because I am terrible at reading other people and eye contact scares the shit out of me, but I try every day. I am attaching the notes I took from the session and I hope that if you have a question or a thought that you share it. The one thing that resonated the most with me today was the line " there are a bunch of voices in your head that aren't yours, should you be listening to them?" Don't let negativity bias dominate your thoughts because thoughts become actions and actions become habits. I am starting am appreciation journal because I am struggling to default to grace and appreciation in a way that was my normal for the last ten years, more so with myself than others. I don't want to create bad habits from the current thoughts so I need to change the thoughts. https://youtu.be/-_kXIGvB1uU

@adequate Appreciating the efforts other people are making is something I try to do more of as well. Changing habits and seeking to better yourself is hard, and many people don't even try. Keep it up!

@adequate The voices in my head that don't belong to me are probably the intellectually property of Sony BMG With that silliness out of the way There is one thing that I must say If you hate jews for what they do to kids then there's a ninety percent chance that your soul still lives.
