It's possible that I'm on a better path to future things, and just haven't climbed out of the valley yet. I can't see the big view yet. But it's possible I'm still climbing out instead of just lost.
We shall see.
I am on a different path at least. That much I know. I've got better skills now than I had a year ago. I'm better at keeping my stutter under control than ever before in my life. I have tried and failed at a lot of things, so that narrows down the list of future failures, having already been there.
I can't recall a time in my life when I felt less certain about the future. Which is strange.
I've been through so much chaos and uncertainty in my life, and yet the year 2026 is the definition of uncertainty. When I was younger I didn't realise how chaotic the world really is. But I do now. I'm very aware of the forces at play, but still unable to do much about them.

You can't put a number on everything. That's part of what makes AI such a hot mess, it's trying to reduce humans to 1s and 0s. That's why the "economy" is such a false idol, because we live in a society and the economy is intended to serve society, not the other way around. I always think of that meme about swapping the word "economy" with "rich peoples yacht money"... Oh no we can't possibly afford dental care for everyone, what would happen to "rich peoples yacht money"? I live in a world ruled by numbers, while trying to make a living as a creative. That's what I feel today. n/N
