@farah@beige.party Autistic kids are sometimes really difficult to feed because of sensory issues. Maybe that was it?

@mayintoronto@beige.party @farah@beige.party seconding this. I feed two autistic kids and a spouse and keeping them fed is challenging. They report sensory issues with textures and smells. And those things can shift making food good one day no longer good the next. They have proprioception stuff where their bodies don't tell them they are hungry. So they will not eat unless we set alarms or remind them (gently). Often they go past the point of hungry as a result and nothing sounds good / melt down imminent.
