@HikerGeek@mas.to @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org roads in Las Vegas are mostly melted and it is most noticeable at stop lights because cars stopping warps the pavement. I don't know what air temp it correlates to but the black surfaces definitely get hotter than the air. I never tried it but people say you can crack an egg and cook it on a rock. I don't remember the temperatures but different parts of the egg start to cook (proteins denature and coagulate) at different temperatures starting around 140F I think. Plausible.
