would be quite familiar for me using #matrix :

or with a different take: i can live with the knowledge of a different security level per room. so getting a message before stepping into a bridged room would be cool. so i know that one matrix room is bridged to whatsapp and threema for example.
i think the real pain are all those other constrains like "only within eu territory" but we dont want to know where our users are.

@stereo@freiburg.social @threemaapp@mastodon.social threema clients are open source, and that's where E2EE happens, so you *can* verify. threema is always E2EE (in contrast to Matrix, for example).
