@Swede1952@universeodon.com I actually do remember a time before I started learning braille. I had a book with the alphabet and some tactile drawings of hands in it and I would pretend to read it. I might have two different books with hard covers then, but that I don't remember very well. I remember learning braille itself at around six or so, and as I got older, I was frustrated that I couldn't use a pencil like everyone else. Many, many years later (within the last five years or so), I found something called the Sensational Blackboard. Unlike other tactile drawing boards where you have to write backward and flip the paper (always a special, plastic kind) over to read it, this allowed me to use regular paper and to write normally. It was truly a marvel to me, and I realised that I could finally truly learn to write by hand! Then, I lost the darned thing. haha
