Some years ago I read a musicology paper that began with recounting the tiny handful of 17th-to-19th composers still known and speculating on who from now would be remembered. They supposed that 'similars' get progressively grouped until all are under one celebrity, and by that rule concluded the 23rd century would only remember Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin 😅
