@Tattie@eldritch.cafe As a teen, I literally thought of myself as a "furry catgirl in the body of a human boy". I think I vaguely understood myself as transspecies/therian/otherkin at the time. I failed to realize that "furry cat girl" implies "girl" and therefore also gender transness. My fursona was female, and her name was originally somewhere halfway between my deadname and Luna, in July 2017 (age 17) I decided she doesn't need a name related to my "real" name and decided on Luna. Dragofelis was originally the name of the species. Around that time I also made my Twitter account and started using the LunaDragofelis handle, because as an early zoomer I still learned the privacy advice of not using one's "real" name on the public internet. So I went online as my fursona. I hated puberty and all its changes, I wished for it to just stop, but I didn't know anything to do that even existed. I thought it's just inevitable and I had to deal with it. If I knew about the existence of puberty blockers, I estimate at least a 50-50 chance I'd have asked adults for them. I liked the idea of myself as a hot woman, not necessarily (but preferably) furry, but chalked it up as being like extra straight. As in "I'm so straight I don't even find my own body hot, because my body is male, and I don't find male bodies hot, because I'm very very straight". I didn't find the idea of sex with men hot, either. Man on man just isn't something I'm into. (I wasn't homophobic though.) Turns out that's because gay male sex doesn't have a woman for myself to imagine myself as, unlike straight and lesbian sex. Turns out that cishet male enjoyers of furry catgirls just want to date and/or fuck them. Not wish every night they'll wake up as one in real life. When I realized that, I unfortunately was already 18 and first puberty already did most of it's unwanted work. By the time I got on HRT (age 24) it was well complete…
