People never wanted to allocate time to their users / fan base in depth.
(I guess it is a choice to stay in software la-la-land of fun or go deeper inside a deeper social-software #movement)
Not hating on them but at some level you have to jump from one tree of development to another tree - to achieve balance.

@collective_truth@mastodon.social RE: "People never wanted to allocate time to their users / fan base in depth" 👈🏻 Have you ever thought this may well be because of the constant hatred / vitriol / bullying they are exposed to (not just here in Mastodon, but elsewhere) through personal attacks, even threats, by other people who hide behind anonymity? I can see an issue there, they prefer not to engage with those behind anonymity for that specific reason to avoid potential further trouble. Just a thought ...
