#ClimateDiary The Times today, Saturday 25th July. Sums up this moment perfectly: the world is on fire, but the right and supporting media relentlessly push through their anti #NetZero agenda. I wonder whether extreme weather events this year and next - climate emergency in full swing! - will make any difference to current policy momentum. I fear not. But who knows. Burnham on #Rosebank will be indicative.

@pvonhellermannn@mastodon.green I suspect we’re facing blackouts in any case. Net zero is maybe a handy scapegoat rather than the blame fall on say datacentres or lack of investment in the grid.
