I need to drill a big-ish hole (~1.5”) into my house’s band joist to run conduit to my garage. I’ve done this sort of thing before in an older house but my current house is just a couple of years old and modern houses are… different.
I need to go through ~5” of sprayed in insulation, the actually joist and the structural joist that holds up my deck.
Wtf do I do that with? It’s going to be like 7-10” of different types of materials. I don’t think it’s hole saw territory.

@linux_mclinuxface@fosstodon.org A carbide-tipped hole saw would do the job, as long there isn't any structural metal in the path.

Now that’s a drill bit. (Biggest one I own, at least)
