@vanElden@hachyderm.io I tried that some years ago with a mini notebook, which even fit into the pocket. However, it was too often that repositories were missing or that files were not mirrored (requirement for the disk size). The RAM requirement is mostly for the browser, 16GB can also work, but memory pressure is usually there when running a couple of tabs. I actually just checked...

@vanElden@hachyderm.io ... this tab with mastodon is one of the smallest I have at about 150MB RAM usage. The access to the virtualisation platform uses 2GB of RAM. So with around 10-15 tabs, 16GB are getting a bit tight. That is before I start emacs in which everything else runs.
