Recommendations for the SMS 'test'
on Monday 27 July 2026 at 2pm in Australia
- Update your phone on Fri 24 / Sat 25
- Install de-google apps from Fdroid if google android device
- Switch the phone OFF on Monday 11 am to 3pm
- Dont install any government 'emergency' 'app'
- Dont reply to any government 'test' sms on Monday 27
- Leave the Fridge/Freezer plugged in ,
Unplug everything else in the house just in case
If your not working, visit a beach or
national park away from CBD/urban
signal reception
