Please stop posting about how you're running a slop machine on local hardware under the privacy hashtag!
The technology is built on massive privacy violations, no matter where it's running! If someone claims that running their slop machine locally is privacy-friendly, their notion of who has a right to privacy is obviously limited to themselves!

@r_alb@mastodon.social That is an ignorant statement. There are LMs trained with open data and licenced openly, just like traditional FOSS. E.g. Swiss-based Apertus models and @allenai@sigmoid.social Olmo models. One can find privacy-friendly inference providers like Venice.ai to serve them, or self-host. We won't call search engine slop even though Google is evil. #privacy #AI
