this is an archetype of person ive met in the world where when i've talked about starting this or that community project they say 'you should go to this entrepeneurship place! how about vc funding!' and so on. their world doesnt actually contain humanity, only businessiness, and only the idea of profit (notably not actual profit)

the absolute core of the slopmonger mindset is 'its going to make you money so you shouldnt care about anything else.' they sincerely dont understand caring about anything else at all.
