The covers are great, but his version is canonical for me. He catches the human side of the sacred best for me.

@autolycos@beige.party @me_valentijn@m.ai6yr.org @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org Both of them do it for me. They're both first among equals as far as I'm concerned. It reminds me of All Along The Watchtower. Dylan said that the Hendrix version was the best, but I can't put one in 2nd place, even if Dylan himself can't really sing.
