I have met a lot Indonesian gays who are closeted and deeply in fear of being found out.
They also have prejudice and hatred to the queer community because they have been taught to hate the "gay propaganda" of the west.
But they are gay themselves.

@serigala_tropis@lgbtqia.space Just wanted to tell you that my companion and I had briefly discussed about this while we were visiting Jakarta last year. We have encountered quite a few who we suspected that they could be gay. It’s apparent that the religions have a lot to do with the suppression.
