@ben@mastodon.lubar.me they do, so far as I know, but if they pay a percentage and that percentage goes up...

@PetraOleum@cloudisland.nz I would've thought that the movie company would say "you have to pay us $7 for every ticket sold" and then the theater could charge $10 or $15 or $20 and decide how much money they need for their own stuff but if they're saying the percentage has increased that implies to me that the percentage is an independent variable
