@neilk@xoxo.zone Just read it. For the first time. Had not heard of it before. The characters sure plan and argue about their future professions a lot, for being imbedded in a society where literally everyone would tell you, quite consistently, that it's pointless daydreaming. OK, there's some "space" for those who show some potential. But they're not identified until they learn to read (by tape). Hmmm… Isaac Asimov sure knew his readers, and who'd we identify with! 😆 💖
