A lot of people in similar situations to mine (middle-aged, awkward) have already given up on online dating but I’ve done okay in the past couple years. All the women I’ve met have been honest, good people. My profile hasn’t changed much (“I like birds, guitar, running, understanding how things work”) but I started to get more matches when I worked on my photos a little. It occurred to me that I should make use of all the photography gear that I already own and know how to use. But I think the photo that came out best was from a recent wedding. I was at a table w the bride’s aunt and I pointed to the sunset and said it was perfect for a photo and she told me to hand her my phone and go stand in front of it. Nice assist from the bride’s aunt.
