YOSUKE YAMASHITA AND ADELHARD ROIDINGER Inner Space 1977 Germany pressing It’s hot as hell on the island today, so I’m content to just chill inside today and stay cool while listening to music. A warm, spacious and atmospheric #jazz record between two masterful improvisers. In the case of Yamashita, this is far more mellow and refined than his previously intense and raw works. It’s quite reflective and intimate sounding, and perfect for a day like today. I think that even people who don’t appreciate jazz at all can throw this on and appreciate how rich and great it sounds. Side question, though. Who names their kid “Adelhard”?
