kinda related to https://mastodon.gamedev.place/@kevingranade/116976328083537323 : I'd been perusing /r/egg_irl for a while (because the memes were funny! cough) and watching "The Owl House" and doing my best to learn more about ✨️ gender ✨️ because of someone close to me... yet I suspect what really "knocked over the first domino" was realizing I really wanted my character in "Cassette Beasts"--who just happened to have the same name and overall "aesthetic" as me haha what a coincidence, and no, I've never heard of a "self-insert," fuck off--to use they/them pronouns. so. (I also jumped at the chance to play as a girl in "Pokemon Crystal" and then played as a boy in "Pokemon Ruby" and a girl in "Pokemon Sapphire"--or the other way around, it's been over 20 years, give me a break--just because I wanted to. So apparently there's something about this genre that does gender things to me. Good thing I never got around to playing "Palworld" or whatever it's called!)
