I see and feel the signal on this book, exactly the same as the signal I felt when I first thought to myself, "people in software DO care about psychology, I know they do, because they ask me psychology questions, and I'm going to ignore every loud voice saying this job doesn't exist and invent it"
We are inventing the presence of this book, right now, together

When I wrote my book proposal, you know what it included? Reviews counts on external places like goodreads and amazon for the major comps my book was being compared to. I sat with one of the editors who was considering my book and watched him pull up the *raw number of reviews* for other software leadership and team culture books, and I watched him startle as he realized oh, this is a real, serious category. Totally new possibilities unrolled because of that moment
