@shayman@cosocial.ca I had to feel a bit bad for the reporter, Emily Chung, who I'm guessing was pulled off the Science and Climate beat because "you're the technical person, right?". FTA: Adam Stinchcombe, a colleague and an associate professor of mathematics at the University of Toronto, said in order to come up with those proofs, Tsimerman developed new techniques that "can be used in other areas of math." I mean, I'm also not the guy to come up with an audience relatable quote on the meaning of new results in algebraic geometry, so good on you for trying.
