@Osteopenia_Powers@newsie.social There are several examples of the death penalty in both the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. Women committing adultery, murder, witchcraft, and such. But, from my academic understanding, there are also some where the Bible calls for the death penalty, but, it's unclear if that was actually practiced. Much of the law is very similar to modern property law and is instructive as to what was considered who's property.
