@isotopp@infosec.exchange I have been griping about this for years, and yes the Neo is still 8GB which is criminal and rude.
16GB is marginal but OK for now, except the lack of upgrade options is evil and rude.

@resuna@ohai.social Well, it's an iPhone in a larger case, so no upgrades possible – the memory is part of the CPU, it's all a system on a chip now. That's what happens at 2 nm structure sizes... you need to use all these nodes, and because you have no need for 128 ARM cores, memory it is.

@isotopp@infosec.exchange 25 year old me had 512K in his Amiga. I'm still on my Intel mini with 64GB because I can't justify the cost of upgrading to an ARM Mac with that much RAM.
