A while back, I was asked to contribute to a special on remarkable sci-fi films of the millennium, for Sigh and Sounds, the BFI magazine. They'd suggested I review District 9, but I instead suggested to them a little known micro budget film, Beti and Amare, by Andy Siege, shot in Ethiopia. Seeing Neill has gone full AI, I'm so glad I didn't review his film.
