Just saying it again: ICE must be abolished. It serves no legitimate public benefit. The whole thing is an abomination. And DHS needs to be disbanded. Whatever functions we can't live without need to go back to their original departments. We lived without DHS for over 200 years. It was munged together in a moment of weakness. It has not proved useful. We also need to make citizenship and visas a lot simpler and low stakes. Trying to "crack down" on illegal immigration basically created the entire problem it's supposed to be "solving". Again -- we did just fine for many years without this. Whatever benefits might exist do not outweigh the harms.
