I do the same as a trans gal! I might not bleed but I’ve had period-like symptoms from varying with E and on one side it’s been incredibly affirming and on another, ouch. I imagine that bleeding in public feels ‘gross’ in the same sense as having a public boner you’re hiding tacitly; you feel exposed and embarassed. And I’ve heard lots of people carry them in case of their own/someone else’s bleed. So I’m carrying period tampons with me as well, in case someone needs it.
