The ONLY thing you need to do to be an athlete is to play sports. There is no gate to keep. There is no bar to entry. Do it. You don't have to turn everything you do into a side hustle, and you don't have to do things at a professional level to be allowed to do them. Paint something. Write a song. Dance. Run.
