There's an annual new short play showcase on next week, for which everyone involved seems to get paid apart from the playwrights. There is much consternation in my writing group's chat about this. Good. (I was feeling bad about not planning to go for other reasons: spoon distribution as I'm already going to another showcase on the Friday that the writers *do* get paid for; Tuesday and Wednesday not being ideal days of the week for me; it's outside and I don't own a camping chair...)
