Look how well THAT worked out for them. It's been a living nightmare, the successful colonization of the #tech sector by #conservatism (i.e. Christofascism basically) but watching the Democrats flailing around uselessly has had its macabre entertainment value. The mainstream Dems seem to have no other strategy than to keep double and trebling and quadrupling down on the stale Clintonite methods.
They weren't popular at the time. I voted for Bill Clinton. I tried to make myself believe he was a good change of pace. But no hep Democratic voter really liked that he was obviously so smarmy and superficial and oozing with corruption.

The Republicans hammered away at the Democratic reliance on the deceptive methods of the marketer. Everything the GOP said about the Democrats on this particular subject was always true: the Clintonite Dems were poll obsessed, devoid of principle, hypocrites about their own purported liberalism, authoritarian down to the bone. #Marketing is intrinsically authoritarian: the marketer seeks to present themselves as the authority, the person who knows everything and who ought to be trusted implicitly.
