@djm62@beige.party @ami_angelwings@urusai.social oh good choices. let me think, there's so many. the interlude in Hitchcock's Rear Window after Thorwald alerts Jeffries that he's coming (phoning him up wordlessly), after which the movie gives itself over to a hair-raising sequence of little sights and noises that portend Thorwald's arrival. and he doesn't even need to break down the door, so his entrance into Jeffries's apartment is almost noiseless.
