And they have been involved in the #military and #government, including during the #fascist #dictatorship era. Much like how the #Maya #genocide perpetrators in #Guatemala were backed by #Israel and saw the highlands similarly to how #Israelis see #Gaza. In both cases, the #CIA and the #USA generally was an even more significant sponsor, via #OperationCondor.
