@RichardoC@infosec.exchange I bought 10 acres in Burgundy nearly 20 years ago, did a bit of farming, decided it was hard work, got back into tech, ended up downsizing to a 3 acre place in the Massif Central, bought 11kWp panels, two Sunny Islands, two Sunny Boys (for a total of 2 x 2kW strings and 2 x 3kW strings), two DIY 16kWh LiFePO4 batteries with Needy 4+ active balancers and a central REC BMS, a heat pump, and an electric car.
Now I've finally quit work and am poor I'm slowly installing it. Glacially, if truth be told. I'm also planting walnuts, chestnuts, blackberries etc.

@RichardoC@infosec.exchange I used to have chickens, geese, a huge goat, and a livestock guardian dog in the old place. I'm currently storing a lot of heirloom seeds in a chest freezer including einkorn, blanc de Bresse higher protein corn, soy, lentils etc etc. Looking at no-till but need to fix my tools to get started on that one day...
