@veronica@explains.social @simonzerafa@infosec.exchange I wonder how many people actually use the Windows Store but besides that I agree. You can generally just search for an app and install it. Though I've came across some apps that had Flatpak versions that were more limited than other versions. AppImages can also be simply opened in some distros (unfortunately not all).

@norbipeti@toot.norbipeti.eu @veronica@explains.social Winget and the other tools just download and automate the .EXE or .MSI installation process. There is still only two app installation methods. Hopefully I'll get to grips with the way Linux does thinks in time ๐๐คทโโ๏ธ On windows I use GUI for Winget called UniGetUI which gives Windows a GUI package manager. Which itself can be installed via Winget ๐๐
