Stumbled upon an amazing little creature today at Paxton Pits. I have never seen one in my life before. When I saw it, I thought it was a mouse based on its small size (about 20cm). But this is a Least Weasel (or just Weasel in the UK). Its our smallest carnivore.

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social Among us in northen sweden we love this animal and have a lot if nick name for it. It keps rat's and other harmful creature's away from us. And they are the sweetest you can meet and curious. 🙏🧡

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social I'm watching The nose on this cutie is a little too blunt for a mouse and definitely too short for a rat and its legs are too "big" as in padded for mice and rats. It does have a baby weasel face and is adorable. Thanks for the image. It's really cool. How did you get a picture of it? Mice and rats are speedy. I don't know about weasel speed.
