She gets a ton of hate, mostly from the gamer gate types, but Alanah consistently nails it and brings insight to the table which hardly anyone else does, at least of what I've seen. The point about people either financing their brand new games by selling the ones they finished, or even being able to play new games thanks to the second hand market are the ones Sony is leaving behind with their new policy. Also the CEO's are laser focussed on engagement numbers, monthly active users and total gameplay hours to woo investors, is coincidentally the way we can get back at them. Play less on your PS, play somewhere else basically. Numbers go down, their strategy fails and they get replaced. Super simplified of course, but still. On a personal level, I was actually looking into buying sets of UK PS magazines to preserve. Now, my heart just isn't in it anymore.
