There's one more point I'd like to make before wrapping up this excessively lengthy thread, and that's the value of #NFT simply as an abbreviation.
The world of #finance scams and #investment gambling etc. is a world ruled by magical thinking. Again, desperation is the cause for this: only desperate people need to chase after get-rich-quick schemes and thus they're inclined out of desperation to believe in unlikely miracles.
At least in the "Western" mindset, the notion of #magic is intimately mixed up with the idea of the spell, which in its ideal "Western" form appears in a zillion works of fiction, like in Harry Potter: a short incantation that produces a desired instantaneous result.

#Marketing is a form of magical practice, therefore. The marketer wishes to cast a spell on their victims: the ideal marketing campaign is condensed into a single powerful catchphrase or slogan or jingle, one which elicits a magical transformation in those who hear it. Thus the abbreviation in marketing has the weight of a magic spell, a sequence of letters so powerful that it makes people do things. I still remember from a lot of Jack Benny radio programs that Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco. LSMFT. In the wartime ads this was accentuated with the sound of a Morse code repeater tapping out LSMFT. I actually smoked Lucky Strikes for a bit. Strong stuff, this marketing. (cont'd)
