"You're not gonna want to sell it because NFTs are gonna EXPLODE all over the WORLD" you see what I mean? He goes in one statement from saying "you'll not want to sell" right to the reason why you'll want to sell. The memetic package he's trying to pass along requires him to tell his audience to buy multiple copies of an NFT: he has to supply a reason that sounds like something other than mere greed, hence the point of mentioning "emotional attachment", but then all subsequent talk is merely about how these things are gonna make you very very rich. Soon. How soon? Five years from now. Or three. Or maybe two. (cont'd)

That inversion of sequence is very funny to me but it's also disquieting. Again it's like his brain has realized it's said something unlikely, i.e. the assertion that NFTs will be INCREDIBLY more valuable in five years. Somewhere in his mind, the NFT fanboy knows that the fad is just a fad. So once he says "in five years" he starts reeling it back immediately. Greed and avarice are impatient sins, after all. The greedy person, told to wait five years for riches, does not want to wait five years. In any case the very nature of #blockchain scams is ephemeral to an extreme degree, so the only really sensible thing to do with a blockchain token that's unexpectedly hot is to sell it as soon as possible.
