They are security, firefighters, medical coordinators and hosts all in one. 68% of U.S. flight attendants have experienced sexual harassment during their careers 35% experienced verbal sexual harassment from passengers in the past year alone 18% experienced physical sexual harassment from passengers in the last year. Only 7% of the flight attendants who experienced the abuse have reported sexual harassment to their employer. Many have PTSD and are forced to take unpaid leave for on work trauma. Please treat your flight attendants with the respect they deserve and ensure other passengers do as well.
