Anyway, I think 80% of the issues folks have with Linux, both as the developer and the user, have to do with navigating packaging across distros.
For every user or dev who said "Linux is too hard because there's so many distros to choose from", I genuinely think Flatpak is the best shot at solving those problems. It's not perfect and everyone can find something to pick apart, but IMO Flatpak makes this stuff accessible to more folks, and that's my goal.

@veronica@explains.social I suspect that this is an issue for people moving from Windows where app installers are pretty much either . MSI or . EXE and it just installs. Linux seems the have too many ways to distribute an app. One or two standards would be enough, whatever those methods are 🙂🤷♂️
